Ubuntu 8.04与XP SP3性能大比拼
现在有不少开源的跨平台软件存在，使得[b]Linux[/b]和[b]Windows[/b]下的软件性能有了可比性，Mohammed Saleh做了一个Ubuntu 8.04和Windows XP SP3下的软件性能对比。测试的主要是多媒体性能和硬盘性能，前者主要是Blender、Avidemux等软件的性能测试，后者主要是采用命令行下的RAR和ClamAV，结果显示，XP在多媒体方面大幅超越Ubuntu，而Ubuntu在IO相关程序方面更有优势——尽管测试的时候Ubuntu是ATA硬盘而XP在SATA硬盘上。

两个操作系统都打上了最新的补丁。
另外他还写了一个脚本对比两者的多任务性能，结果Ubuntu大幅领先XP。
